Warren Harding was the 29th President of the United States and served from 1921 to 1923 when he died in office from an illness. He was a Republican who worked to revise tariff laws and lower income taxes. His administration was marred by the Teapot Dome scandal.
Prior to being elected he was active in Ohio politics and had served one term in the Senate from Ohio prior to being elected President. He was anti-labor, pro-woman's suffrage, and pro-Prohibition. He opposed the League of Nations.
