The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works is the primary Senate global warming battleground in the fight between America and the Carbon Lobby. One of the most important results of the 2006 mid-term election was that progressive Democrat Barbara Boxer replaced conservative anti-environmentalist James Inhofe as committee chair.
